This independent community pharmacy is located in an eastern suburb of Melbourne, approximately 31 km from the CBD. The area is known for its scenic parks, paths, and a vibrant recreational walking and cycling culture, providing a peaceful and active environment to work and live.

Job Specification

As the Pharmacist in Charge, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of this community pharmacy, which embraces the full scope of practice. Services include vaccinations, UTI management under the VIC pilot program, and methadone/ORT dispensing. With a focus on elderly patients, exceptional communication and time management skills are vital.

Key details include:

• Computer system: Fred Dispense.
• Support team: 2 pharmacists on duty at all times, 4 dispensing technicians, and 7 front-of-shop assistants.
• DAA: Webster packs prepared by technicians.

The position offers full-time hours, including alternate Saturdays. Sundays and public holidays are not required.

Skills Required

• General registration with AHPRA as a Pharmacist.
• 3 years Australian community pharmacy experience.
• Strong leadership and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, particularly when engaging with an elderly demographic.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.

Salary & Benefits

• Base rate of $55-$60 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
• Saturday rate of $65 per hour.
• Hands-on mentoring and support from a highly involved owner.
